How to make a frame for something similar to a scrapbook page?
I am wanting to make a couple frames with pictures and embellishments in it (Kind of like a small scrapbook page, but instead I am going to frame it.) How do I make a frame that I can put these in, or can I buy one at a store? What size (dimensions) do they usually sell and where? THank you so much!
You can by what they call shadow boxes which come in various sizes and you can find them on ebay or local craft stores. I have made some in just a normal photo frame most thin embellishments will fit inside the frame when you remove the thick paper/cardboard behind the glass.

Photo Frames – Revamping the Inner Ambience in a Redefined Style
Revamping the mood of the interiors can be done in several ways. Some are in favor of redecorating the rooms with the same installations while for the others expensive purchase is indispensable. I am not an extremist, so I loved to go the midway to give a face-lift to my small flat. I got a series of my photographs framed and hung them on the walls. The soft glow of light fell upon them and it just filled the entire atmosphere with an amazingly mystic charm. I changed the look of the entire apartment by just placing those photo frames in right corners. Does not it sound a great idea to you?
Choosing photo frames and their proper placement is very much important to reinvent and redefine the looks of our apartments. There is a wide variety of photo frames fitting a myriad of themes of the snapshots. They may come up with the rustic charm or exclusive elegance. The prices also vary in accordance with the material of the frames as well as the delicacy in the artworks engraved on the borders.
In absence of the photo frames, we would have to stack up the photos in storage. Whenever we wished to piece together the events of the bygone era, we would have to unlock the storage and took off the photos. It would have been a tedious task. Moreover, the friction between the two photos will leave scratches upon them leading to distortion of the items. Photo frames are great preservers of the eloping events locked into the photographs forever.
The frames did not possess grand looks when they were in nascent stages. The goal of preservation was topmost in the minds of the binders and the idea of ornamental design was latent. But with passage of time, we got introduced to a gamut of artworks beautifying the photo frames. Creativity slowly rolled from simplistic innovation to innovative sophistication. For example, take the case of wedding photo frames. They must be gorgeous to be fitting with the image of the grand wedding ceremonies. Even if the celebration is devoid of any grandiose flavor, still you can buy stunning photo frames befitting the photos of the bejeweled bride.
A frame consists of four arms arranged in such a way to lend them the look of a quadruple. The four sided figure may be of either rectangular or square in shape. So these four sides are the mediums to showcase the creative talent of the designers. The wooden photo frames are most common, but with the passing time, we have witnessed to a variety of frames made of wrought iron with eye-catching curvature, cane or jute with rustic charm and also crystal photo frames with glittering look. Frames embellished with the semi precious stones are also a hit with the well-heeled buyers.
